Orchard Joinery is a family-owned business that has been creating custom kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, stairs, and furniture for over 20 years. However, their customer communications were inefficient, leading to missed messages and unhappy customers. With all company emails coming into one address, the office manager had to manually sift through them daily to ensure all communications were addressed.
Aiming for Change
To solve this issue, Orchard Joinery contacted their local IT Alliance member for a free consultation. Together, they developed a solution using Microsoft 365's business-grade email facility - Exchange Online. The goal was to split and redirect emails to the correct staff for efficient and accurate action and response.
The IT Alliance member created a list of new email addresses required, then set up Microsoft 365 with new email addresses. Once everything was ready, they switched emails to the new system and provided on-site training for staff to ensure a smooth transition. The email system now has custom access settings, and the manager can access all accounts if necessary.

The new system streamlined communication for both customers and staff, with easy-to-use mail access and clear email allocation. The office manager no longer has to sift through numerous emails to find the right recipient.
