Spectre and Meltdown Vulnerability

07/02/2018; Whilst malicious activity with this vulnerability has yet to be seen, independent research this week by AV-TEST shows that there are now 139 malware samples that can exploit this hole.
Although none of these samples are actually active in the wild yet (other than proof of concept) it is clear that the cyber criminals are very active in developing an exploit for Meltdown and Spectre bug.
What can you do?
- Whatever you do don't install the Intel Patch - it is causing problems with reboots and blue screens.
- Microsoft have released patches now. Providing your anti-virus is on the supported list, and a registry key has been made by the anti-virus, then the patch will deploy.
